Stucco Inspection

We specialize in inspecting your Stucco exterior.  Our combination of visual inspection and Infrared Analysis can provide a good assessment of water damage to perimeter wall sheathing, framing and windows.  Increasing awareness of water-damaged stucco buildings has lead many to believe that stucco is an inferior building exterior; in fact this is not the case.  Most damage to stucco buildings is a result of inferior or non-compliant construction techniques or details. Our approach considers the common vulnerabilities of stucco systems as well as using our infrared Thermograph system.

Pin Probe Inspection
The most important part of any moisture testing is the pin probe moisture meter test, from the interior or exterior, depending on the exterior cladding. In most instances this is done from the exterior.  More information on pin probe inspection.

Moisture Inspection

Excess moisture penetration can lead to serious problems relating to wood rot, mold or structural damage.  Our use of infrared Imaging combined with other inspection techniques can quickly identify potential moisture issues in your structures.  We also do surface meter scanning and will do exterior pin probing when areas of high moisture probability are discovered.

Mold Inspection

We offer a variety of services relating to indoor mold contamination.   We perform normal visual and sensual inspections as well as do air sampling and monitoring.  Moisture problems are a forewarning of mold and mildew issues and our infrared Thermal Images can go along way to point out potential mold problems.  Mold toxins are potential health threats and need to be taken very seriously.

Electrical and Mechanical Predictive Maintenance.

Infrared inspection can be used as a predictive maintenance tool for industrial building power systems and mechanical equipment. High power equipment areas that are showing to be much "hotter" in thermal imaging are potential elements that may be on the verge of failure.   Busbars, high power circuits and transformers as well as motors and other mechanical systems can be replaced or repaired before failure, saving unwanted down time or emergency repair costs.  

Radon Detection

Radon Gas decays into radioactive particles that can get trapped in your lungs when you breathe. This can result in long term lung damage or even lung cancer.  We employ short term methods to assess the contamination level in your building.

Inspection Services & Consulting LLC use’s "Sun Nuclear" electronic continuous radon detector equipment, which takes one sample every hour for 48 hours and a report is generated with the readings and Radon levels. Call Jon Anderson for additional information.

General Inspection

We do real estate transaction inspections of buildings using NACHI (National Association of Certified Housing Inspectors)  compliant  techniques.   We examine roofs, exterior, windows, basements and general interior.
